Final animation
Above, shows my plan for my final animation sequence. I sketched out the general poses i wanted Florence to be in in each frame, then highlighted in red, the animation that needed to accompany the drawing. Although the least technical, this was probably the most important part of this whole process as it gave me something to refer back to as i made each scene, and it helped to keep me on track.
This red animation above, was the really rough idea that i animated first. Almost like a skeleton for my end piece, this allowed me to see what the final outcome was going to look like before diving head first in with the detail and not liking the outcome. Again, this was really helpful throughout as it made the whole process a lot less daunting and it gave me something to base my refined sketch off as i moved through each frame.
Here is my final animation. I added in the hair details and some line work on the clothing, and popped a few elements into the background to give a little context about her setting. I am so happy with how this turned out in the end- Although i have felt that animation wasn't my strongest suit, i think i pulled this short clip together well with the zoom, the wave, the pen writing etc. Drawing this all by hand was definitely a long process but i think it paid off well as it gave me the same effect as my other illustrations had which tied the project together nicely. Developing this further, i would love to see how this would have looked with colour but this was just not something that i could have achieved in the time frame.
The above animation is the very simple finished piece. Although the animation was complete, i felt it was really lacking in detail. My previous illustrations for the rest of this module were very detailed in their line work and i felt that this is what that animation was lacking.
Finally, this is my animation completed with sound. I feel that this finished the piece off well and made it feel more professional. To add in the sound effects, i imported my animation into adobe premier and selected some of their pre-made audios. I do think that i would have been able to achieve a better outcome if there were more audios for me to choose from, however i made the best with what they had and i still think that it worked well with my final outcome.
